The complete Castr platform

A single video platform for live streaming, hosting, playout, and OTT.

Castr covers the whole broadcast chain, from RTMP and SRT ingest through production, transcoding, hosting, 24/7 playout, monetization, and white-label OTT apps. Playback is delivered over Akamai, Fastly, and CloudFront. Start with the product you need today and add the rest as your operation grows.

Map of the Castr platform: RTMP, SRT, and WHIP ingest with HLS, RTSP, and MPEG-TS pull feeds the platform core with transcoding, recording up to 72 hours, a 24/7 playout channel, and monetization, then delivery reaches your own HLS player, up to 30 multistream destinations, and OTT apps on web, mobile, and TV, served over Akamai, Fastly, and CloudFront behind a 99.9% uptime SLA from 40+ ingest locations.

Live streaming and production

Broadcast from any RTMP or SRT encoder, switch multi-camera shows in a browser, and send one feed to up to 30 destinations by plan.

Live streaming

Run business-critical live streams your operators can trust.

RTMP and SRT ingest, resilient delivery, branded playback, recording, and audience control, without assembling and monitoring a fragmented streaming stack.

Live streaming

Cloud production

Cloud live production: switch your show from a browser.

Run live production in the cloud: bring camera feeds, hosted videos, images, and web overlays into switchable Flows, preview the next screen, cut with a transition, and send the program to a Castr livestream for delivery, multistreaming, and recording.

Cloud production

Multistreaming

Stream to multiple platforms at once, from one dashboard.

Send one feed from your encoder and reach up to 30 destinations by plan, with higher counts available on request: YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitch, your own website, and custom RTMP or SRT endpoints.

Multistreaming

Ultra low latency streaming

Ultra low latency streaming, down to sub-second playback.

Pick the latency tier your audience needs: standard HLS for reach, the Low Latency player under 15 seconds, or sub-second playback for interactive rooms.

Ultra low latency streaming

Pre-recorded live

Stream pre-recorded video as live, on your schedule.

Upload a finished video, set a start time, and Castr broadcasts it as a live stream to your embedded player, YouTube, Facebook, and any other RTMP destination you use. No encoder, no studio, no repeating the same broadcast for a second time zone.

Platform FAQ

Common questions about the platform.

What does the Castr platform include?

Live streaming with RTMP and SRT ingest, cloud production, live transcoding, multistreaming, video hosting, 24/7 playout, and pay-per-view and subscription monetization, all in one dashboard on a single account. The REST API and the white-label OTT service build on the same account.

Which CDNs deliver Castr streams?

Playback is served over Akamai, Fastly, and CloudFront, with automatic failover between them behind a 99.9% uptime SLA. If one provider has a regional problem, delivery shifts to another network and playback continues.

How much bandwidth do plans include?

Published plans include 200 GB to 10 TB of delivery bandwidth per month, and custom volume beyond that is available. The pricing page breaks down bandwidth, storage, and destination limits per plan.

Are all products included on every plan?

The core products ship together: live streaming, multistreaming, video hosting, and a scheduled playout channel. Some capabilities are scoped by plan or sold separately. Sub-second latency is an add-on on Premium plans and higher, DRM is an add-on on every plan, transcoding and API access start on Premium, and native OTT apps are scoped as a project with the sales team.

Can I evaluate Castr before subscribing?

Yes. Castr offers a 7-day Starter trial with no credit card required. Advanced workflows and higher limits may require a paid tier or a technical consultation.
