For production agencies

Event live streaming services built for production agencies

Manage client projects, concurrent events, destinations, branded playback, recordings, and post-event delivery without juggling separate video vendors.

Event feed arrives as a single stream from your encoder (Control room · SRT). Castr connects, shows a live bitrate graph, and receives the feed once with Per-client and Sub-accounts, then relays it simultaneously to every enabled destination: Client A, Client A site, Client B, Client B site. Destinations can be toggled on or off while the stream runs. One destination is switched on mid-stream and joins the next fan-out pulse without interrupting the others. Concurrent events · one hub.

Business outcomes

The workflow should create value, not more operational risk.

01Protect client delivery

Build repeatable professional workflows around each high-stakes event.

02Operate more projects

Organize clients, teams, destinations, and concurrent streams centrally.

03Extend agency revenue

Add branded players, hosting, replay, pay-per-view, and OTT services.

Capabilities that matter

Technical depth, organized around the operator.

Castr keeps the full feature set available without forcing every buyer to decode a wall of capability labels before understanding the workflow.

Client organization

Separate each client's streams, destinations, and users with team and sub-account permissions.

Concurrent events

Run multiple client broadcasts at the same time from one dashboard.

Stream health monitoring

Watch bitrate and health charts during every client broadcast, so problems surface before the client notices.

Branded delivery

Embed a client-branded player on the websites and portals each event calls for.

Recording and replay

Deliver post-event video without moving files to another platform.

24/7 support

Reach a human at any hour of a client event, on every plan.

How agencies run client events

One operations hub, from venue feed to post-event delivery.

Event live streaming services are judged on repeatability: the tenth client show has to run as cleanly as the first. This is how an agency runs each event on Castr, without rebuilding the stack per show.

Contribution from the venue

  • RTMP and SRT from the control room

Send the program output from vMix, OBS, or a hardware encoder over RTMP, or over SRT with a tunable latency buffer when the venue network is unpredictable.

  • 40+ ingest locations

The encoder connects to a nearby ingest point, keeping the contribution leg short wherever the venue is.

  • Backup ingest with failover

Run a redundant contribution path that takes over automatically if the primary feed drops.

Failover ingest is on Ultra and Events.

Client-facing delivery

  • Branded player per event

Embed a player styled to the client on the event site, with no platform branding in front of their audience.

  • Simultaneous destinations

The same program reaches the event page, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and custom RTMP or SRT endpoints. Plans include 6 to 30 destinations account-wide, with higher counts available on request.

  • Access control for private events

Password-protect any stream, and restrict embeds by domain or country for closed audiences.

Domain and geographic controls are on Premium and higher.

After the show

  • Automatic recording

Up to 72 hours per broadcast records without a capture step, and the recording stays available for three days to save or download.

  • Replay as a deliverable

Publish the recording to hosting for a client replay page, or hand over the file with the wrap report.

  • Ticketed events

Put a client's premium event behind pay-per-view, with payments settling in a connected Stripe account.

Concurrent live streams range from 2 to 15 by plan, with annual billing raising the counts, so an account can be sized to the agency's event calendar.

Operator fit

Designed for recurring, accountable video work.

Operational complexity matters more than company size. The strongest fit is a team with a named owner, a repeatable schedule, and a real consequence if delivery fails.

  • Multiple clients and event brands
  • Recurring conferences and corporate events
  • Concurrent production schedules

Switching to Castr

Change platforms between client events, not during one.

You do not have to cut over blind. Run Castr in parallel with your current provider while you test, and let our video team confirm the fit before anything switches.

01

Run in parallel

Run an internal rehearsal or a low-stakes broadcast through Castr while your current platform carries the client shows. No client sees anything until your team has signed off.

02

Map the workflow

Our video team reviews your event calendar, each client's destinations and branding, sub-account structure, and recording deliverables, then confirms which plan covers your concurrency.

03

Cut over with support

Move client events over between bookings once the rehearsal run holds up, with 24/7 human support on hand during the first client broadcasts.

Questions before you choose

Evaluate the workflow with confidence.

Feature and plan availability changes by tier. Use the full matrix for comparison, or let our team validate a complex setup.

How do you live stream an event?

Send the program feed from the venue to Castr over RTMP or SRT, then deliver it through an embedded player on the event page and to social destinations at the same time. The broadcast records automatically, so the replay is ready when the event ends. One platform covers contribution, playback, distribution, and recording.

Can we separate client projects and users?

Yes. Sub-accounts and team permissions keep each client's streams, destinations, and users separate, so an operator working one show never touches another client's setup. Additional team members are included from the Premium plan.

Can Castr support simultaneous events?

Yes. Plans include 2 to 15 concurrent live streams, annual billing raises the counts, and the sales team can size an account to a heavier event calendar.

How much should we charge clients for live streaming an event?

Most agencies price by production scope, since crew, cameras, switching, and rehearsal time drive the quote. The delivery platform is the predictable line item: Castr plans are flat monthly rates sized by concurrent streams and bandwidth, from 200 GB up to 10 TB with custom volume beyond that.

Can we run a private, invite-only event stream?

Yes. Password protection is included on every plan, and Premium and higher add domain allowlisting and geographic rules, so a client town hall or dealer conference stays with its intended audience.

How do we record and deliver the event afterward?

Every broadcast records automatically, up to 72 hours, and the recording stays available for three days. Save it to hosting for a client replay page, or download the file and deliver it with the post-event report.

Should we contribute over SRT or RTMP from the venue?

Use RTMP when the venue network is solid and the encoder chain is RTMP-first. Choose SRT when the feed crosses hotel wifi, cellular, or long-haul internet, because it recovers lost packets and can encrypt the feed. Both are included on all plans.

Can clients receive branded playback and recordings?

Yes. Combine an embedded player styled for the client, cloud recording, live-to-VOD, and hosting into the delivery package, and add pay-per-view when the client sells tickets.

Can Castr help us validate our current workflow?

Yes. Castr’s video team will walk through your current setup, from sources and destinations to audience scale, security, and monetization, and confirm the fit before you migrate.
